All interested artists, please send your contact info to Jill Lazusky (firstname.lastname@example.org) to be put on the Artist List. When a company or individual sponsors a chair and does not have an artist, the Rock the Village committee will give them the list of artists to choose from and the sponsor will contact you directly.
Artistic rendition must celebrate the theme of golf and/or the Village of Pinehurst. Artistic rendition must not include or convey anything controversial, political or blatant advertising.
Accept sponsorships from businesses, organizations, individuals, and families
Submit a sketch of what is planned to committee for approval PRIOR TO beginning to paint. The theme of the chair must embrace either the Village of Pinehurst or the theme of golf (or both). Nothing controversial, political, or with blatant advertising will be approved. Designs can be submitted to the committee via email at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If an artist need a sketch of the rocking chair to help submit their concept, they can stop by the Welcome Center (90 Cherokee Road, Theatre Building) to pick one up.
Attention Artists: There will be an engraved plate adhered to each chair naming the sponsor and the artist. Please leave some room, if possbile, on either the upper or lower horizontal slat on the rocking chair back (on the front side).
Sponsor picks up chair and will coordinate with you to design, paint, and poly-seal.
Deadline for artists to submit chair designs.
All chairs must be delivered to designated location.
A map that will be created showing where every chair is located which will identify all the sponsors and artists. A supply of these maps will be delivered to all sponsors.
